VOLUNTEER POLICY

Useful help deserves structure.

How Glucose Gossip Hub will recruit, support and protect volunteers.

01

Defined roles

Every volunteer receives a clear activity, boundaries, expected time, supervisor and end point. Volunteering does not create employment or a promise of future paid work.

02

Fair participation

We do not require anyone to disclose a diagnosis. Selection is based on role needs, safety and available supervision—not popularity or follower counts.

03

Training and support

Volunteers receive task-relevant orientation, privacy guidance, medical-information boundaries and a route to ask questions or raise concerns.

04

Expenses and compensation

Any reimbursement or paid assignment will be agreed in writing before work begins. Lived-experience and specialist expertise should be budgeted and paid when funding permits.

05

Recognition and leaving

Contributions are acknowledged with permission. Volunteers may pause or leave without guilt, and Glucose Gossip may close a role for safety, conduct or capacity reasons.

No volunteer may provide personal diagnosis, insulin-dosing advice or emergency medical management on behalf of Glucose Gossip Hub.
