SAFEGUARDING

Participation must not cost someone their safety.

Baseline safeguarding commitments for community activities, volunteers and future workshops.

01

Scope

Safeguarding applies to online and in-person participation, especially where young people or vulnerable adults may be involved.

02

Minimum contact

We collect only information needed for the activity. Private medical records, insulin doses and emergency requests are not accepted through community forms.

03

Young participants

Activities involving minors require an age-appropriate design, responsible-adult consent where required, trained facilitators and a specific safeguarding plan before launch.

04

Conduct

Harassment, discrimination, coercion, sexual misconduct, exploitation, medical misinformation and pressure to disclose health information are not tolerated.

05

Concerns

Concerns may be reported to glucosegossiphub@gmail.com. Immediate danger should be reported to local emergency or safeguarding services.

06

Response

Access may be paused while a concern is assessed. Records are restricted, retained only as necessary and escalated to appropriate authorities where legally required.

This is an interim public standard. Programme-specific safeguarding procedures will be documented before any activity involving minors or direct community facilitation.
