The Listening Lab begins as community engagement—not a clinical study.
Consent
Every submission explains its immediate use. Separate permission is required before contact, quotation, publication of a personal story or participation in a different project.
Anonymity
Anonymous routes omit name and email. Free-text responses are reviewed for identifying information before any theme or excerpt is considered for publication.
Formal research
Studies involving human participants, sensitive health data or generalisable research claims require an appropriate protocol, qualified partner, ethical review and informed consent before recruitment.
Data and publication
We minimise collection, restrict access, report limitations and never sell participant information. Results should be shared back in accessible language.
Conflicts
Funding, researcher interests and relevant commercial relationships must be declared. A funder may not suppress inconvenient findings or identify participants.
The Listening Lab does not collect glucose readings, insulin doses, medical files or personalised treatment information.
