No sugarcoating FAQ

Is this in my head?

No. Hormonal changes can affect glucose, though the direction and size vary.

When should I ask for help?

For severe pain, very heavy bleeding, missed periods, pregnancy concerns or disruptive glucose changes, contact a clinician.

General education only. Never stop insulin or use this guide to calculate a dose. Severe low glucose, unconsciousness, trouble breathing, persistent vomiting or suspected DKA needs urgent local medical care.
