LIVED EXPERIENCE

Experience is expertise—not decoration.

How community knowledge should shape Glucose Gossip Hub.

01

Influence

People living with T1D should help identify priorities, shape language, test resources, review decisions and understand what changed because of their input.

02

Choice

Contributors decide what they disclose, whether they are named and when they stop. A diagnosis is never treated as permission to retell someone’s story.

03

Representation

No single person represents every age, gender, treatment, income, geography or culture. We seek varied perspectives and name gaps honestly.

04

Recognition

Contributors are credited only with permission. Where funding exists, lived-experience expertise should be budgeted rather than assumed to be free.

05

Power and feedback

We will publish grouped themes, explain limitations and close the loop by reporting which ideas were acted on, deferred or declined.

Stories and community input do not replace clinical evidence. Clinical evidence does not replace the realities of living with T1D.
