CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

Support must not purchase the answer.

How we protect editorial, community and research independence.

01

Disclosure

Relevant grants, sponsorships, gifts, professional roles and commercial relationships will be disclosed where they could reasonably affect—or appear to affect—the work.

02

Editorial control

Funders may support a defined programme but may not approve conclusions, hide safety information or require favourable coverage.

03

Community decisions

Community advisory input should not be overridden solely because it is inconvenient to a prospective funder. Decisions and constraints are documented.

04

Research independence

Research partners and funders must agree on publication, data access and authorship before a project begins. Participant identities remain protected.

05

Recusal and review

People with a material conflict should not be the sole decision-maker. Significant unresolved conflicts may result in a partnership being declined.

No current funding relationship should be inferred unless it is explicitly disclosed on Glucose Gossip Hub.
